What is TheraMend™?

TheraMend™ is a dehydrated amniotic membrane allograft derived from donated human tissue and processed using minimal manipulation. It is sterilized via gamma irradiation and packaged for single-patient, one-time use in clinical settings where covering and protecting a wound is required.

TheraMend™ is intended for homologous use as a topical covering or barrier for acute or chronic wounds. It may be applied directly to the wound bed and can be meshed or fenestrated by the healthcare provider as needed to accommodate drainage—provided sterility is maintained during preparation.

To support optimal placement, TheraMend™ may be hydrated with sterile saline if deemed necessary by the clinician. The product can remain in place for the duration of wound coverage or be reapplied at intervals based on clinical judgment. Product size selection should correspond with wound dimensions and treatment plan.

TheraMend™ is supplied in a heat-sealed, single-use pouch and sterilized to a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10⁻⁶. Once opened, the product must be used immediately or discarded.
